No. 95 St. John Valley Alternative Organizational Structure (No. 95 SJVAOS) is the Central Office for Maine School Administrative Districts No. 10 and No. 27.
No. 95 SJVAOS is located in the heart of Fort Kent, ME, a picturesque town in one of the most northeastern parts of Maine in the Appalachian mountains and bordering the Saint John River. The Town of Fort Kent borders with New Brunswick, Canada, and has one of its’ Port of Entry into the United States of America at “America’s First Mile”. This site marks the beginning of US Route 1 which begins in Fort Kent, Maine, and ends in Key West, Florida. US Route 1 is the easternmost route of the Maine north-south United States highway system.
Maine School Administrative No. 27’s Fort Kent Elementary and Valley Rivers Middle school, CHIPPY Learning Center and Community High School are located within a quarter mile of the University of Maine at Fort Kent campus. This unique setting allows patrons from early childhood and into adulthood to be lifelong learners with several educational institutions located within one quarter of a mile of each other.
No. 95 St. John Valley AOS serves the following school districts:
Maine School Administrative District #27 which is comprised of the following communities: Eagle Lake, Fort Kent, New Canada, St. Francis, St. John, Wallagrass and Winterville.
Maine School Administrative District #10 serving the town of Allagash. There is no school in Allagash - students are tuitioned to MSAD No. 27 and attend St. Francis Elementary School, Fort Kent Elementary school, Valley Rivers Middle School and Community High School.
